I uploaded my first video in Youtube on 3rd June
2012. It was one of the videos that I had recorded during my trip to Hong Kong.
The video was the firework show at Disneyland Hong Kong and I uploaded it
because of my Bucketlist site. As I started documenting my bucket list in this particular
site, the only way for you to add a video was through and external link as the
video could not be directly uploaded into the site. So that’s when I uploaded
my first Youtube video, so that it will be available in my profile there.
It was nice to have a video of your travels in Youtube. You
can show it to anyone you want as long as there is internet. And it was also
useful for me to add videos to my blog. Soon I was uploading all my travel
videos into Youtube. That’s when I set a goal that I want to upload at least
100 videos into Youtube. But I didn’t want the videos to be some random video,
like music videos, football clips and anything else that was popular. I wanted
the videos to be relevant to me; videos that meant something to me.
That’s when I started uploading all my videos from my
university days; the birthday celebrations, the sport activities, concerts,
gatherings and any video that we shot out of the blues. I had a huge collection
and before I knew it the number of my videos was increasing rapidly. Within
just 7 months I had uploaded 99 videos. And then there was no more. All my past
videos from my hard disk had been uploaded and I was stuck at 99.
I didn’t want to simply shoot a video just to make it 100 and
complete my bucketlist. I knew on due course of time the 100th video
would come along. I had downloaded a program to record the on screen activities
of computers. I was looking through my batch’s year book (which is an e-book),
as it was the 5th year anniversary of our graduation this year, when
I suddenly connected the dots.
I played the slideshow version of the e-book and recorded my
screen. The 100th video was done. It was ironic that after uploading
so many videos of my university life that the 100th video turned out
to be our year book which symbolized the end of my university life. I was
really happy. All the video were significant to me and most important of all
the 100th video was one of the most significant.
But I wouldn’t stop now. The past has been uploaded. Now I
look towards the future. I’m sure I’ll have more memorable videos coming my way
and I’ll be sure to keep uploading them. As for now, Bucket List “Upload 100
Youtube Videos”, completed.
PS: I have chosen to post a few random videos from my upload list. To view all the other videos just go straight to my Youtube Page: Venoo Bee
